Melbourne chef Ella Mittas delights her loyal following with traditional Greek cooking inspired by her heritage. This Summer, Ella invites children to join her in the kitchen to learn how to make some simple Greek dishes from Ela Melbourne’s beloved repertoire.
Learn how to roll dolmades, test your pastry skills with a traditional spanakopita, and whip up a classic Greek salad over one special afternoon at Cam’s.
Aimed at kids aged 10 – 16, this very hands-on cooking class and demonstration will give everyone a chance to make and then eat each of the dishes. Take home a beautifully designed booklet and a brand new set of skills!
When: Sunday 6 and Monday 7 January 2019, 3.30 – 5.30pm
Where: Cam's, Convent building, Abbotsford Convent
Cost: $70 (bookings essential, via WeTeachMe)
The name Ela Melbourne was derived from not only Ella’s name but also from one of the most common Greek words έλα. It literally means “come”, so please Έλα! Ελπίζουμε να σας δούμε σύντομα (Come! Hope to see you soon.)
