Join us for an afternoon of networking, creating and belonging as part of Melton City Council’s Home Sewn: Makers of Melton project with artist, Anuradha Patel.
During this event, you will be given a ‘sneak peek’ of the Home exhibition in CS Gallery, before exploring your own interpretation of 'The Belonging Tree' and creating a small textile wall hanging to take home. Work individually or cooperatively to respond to the idea of your favourite tree or natural material.
Alongside this workshop, there will be some delicious food and drinks, great conversation and the opportunity to meet your fellow artists in the west.
WHAT TO BRING: Participants are encouraged to bring in new or recycled materials you may find around your house or garden, for example: Interesting material scraps; wool; felt; buttons; threads; lace; photographs; mementos; seed pods; hardy dried leaves; bark; or pebbles etc.
WHEN: Friday 28th June 2019, 4pm - 6pm.
WHERE: Caroline Springs Library 193-201 Caroline Springs Boulevard, Caroline Springs
COST: FREE but bookings recommended Trybooking.com
