Wodonga Council values art and culture and the contribution it makes to a dynamic, diverse and holistic community.

Wodonga is ideally situated on the Murray River with surrounding hills, rich agricultural valleys, wineries and historic towns. It is strategically located about 300km north of Melbourne and 580km south of Sydney on the Hume Freeway.

Wodonga has plenty to offer those who enjoy the arts, it is home to HotHouse Theatre, The Cube Wodonga, Arts Space Wodonga, The Flying Fruit Fly Circus school and Gateway Village Arts and Cultural precinct.

The Cube Wodonga is a state-of-the-art, conference and performance facility in Wodonga’s central business area. The venue hosts touring bands and theatre shows, local community performances, film screenings and more. The performance season has a fantastic line-up including comedy, dance, music, morning melodies and children’s theatre.

Arts Space Wodonga is a vibrant and accessible contemporary art gallery situated in the arts precinct incorporating Wodonga Library and The Cube Wodonga performing arts centre. With an exciting program of exhibitions, the gallery offers a unique space featuring emerging and professional practising contemporary artists, as well as touring exhibitions and projects in conjunction with cultural organisations.

The city has its own dedicated arts and cultural precinct, Gateway Village, which houses a clustered group of diverse cultural and arts offerings.

Wodonga Council supports Arts and Culture through a number of initiatives.

Council aims to foster the development of a vibrant and diverse artistic and cultural city, with the creation of public art seen as an integral element.

The Community Impact Grants program aims to empower community organisations and individuals to grow ideas in an innovative and creative way, as well as looking to improve the city.
