Entries are now open for our 2022 What’s Your Story? Writing competition.

Works can be fiction or non-fiction, based on any theme, but must be original and previously unpublished.

To enter the short story and poetry categories you need to be 18 years and living in Victoria, while young people aged 5 to 17 years, who live, go to school or work in Stonnington, are invited to enter one of three creative writing categories.

Entries must be submitted online. All entries must be received by 11.59PM on 31 August.  Late entries will not be accepted.

Category winners will be notified in writing by Friday 11 November 2022. Winning entries from each category will be announced at the launch of [untitled] Literary Festival on 18 November 2022.

Categories and Prizes

Short Story – Adult

For: Victorian residents over the age of 18 years.
Guidelines: 1000 word limit.
Prize: $500.
