Georges River Council was successful in obtaining grant funding from the Department of Planning and Environment’s Streets as Shared Spaces two program for the Riverwood town centre, in particular focusing on Belmore Road.
The project aims to improve the amenity to provide a built environment that is designed for people, with a focus on safety, comfort, play, enjoyment and vibrancy for all users to transform Belmore Road into a place that works for everyone, especially pedestrians.
As part of the grant funding, an element of public art will be delivered.
