Lost at Sea – Public Art Project

Lost at Sea is a public art project to honour those who have lost their lives at sea in the Port Macquarie-Hastings region, located on the NSW Mid-North Coast.

The project is in response to requests from impacted families and friends for a permanant memorial to honour their lost loved ones, a place where they can visit to reflect and grieve. Sadly for many families and friends, their loved ones may never be recovered to be able to be put to final rest.

The project site is a highly visable, flat site overlooking the ocean on Port Macquarie’s Town Beach Reserve.

Lost at Sea – Artwork Brief & EOI

The project will provide a permanant, safe and welcoming sculptural space where family members and friends can go to reflect, to grieve and to connect with someone they have lost at sea in our region.
