Local and Australian artists are now invited to enter the prestigious Nillumbik Prize for Contemporary Art, with a total prize pool of more than $30,000.
Nillumbik Shire Council’s biennial, acquisitive prize is open to emerging and established artists from across the country, with artists free to express their creativity in any medium. This year, there is no set theme.
This biennial competition includes four monetary prizes:
- Open Prize: $20,000
- Local Prize: $10,000
- Mayor’s Award: $500
- People’s Choice Award: $500
The Open and Local Prize are acquisitive. This means that the winning artworks become part of the Nillumbik Shire Art Collection.
