About us:
Gasworks Arts Park is a vibrant arts precinct producing a range of high-quality arts programs, workshops, and activities for all ages. Situated in Albert Park, Melbourne, one the site of the former South Melbourne Gas Plant, Gasworks is just kilometers from the CBD and the precinct houses four hectares of park, two theatres, three gallery spaces, a café, as well as functions and workshop spaces.
About the residency:
Our aim is to provide a workspace to support visual artists who are actively pursuing their artistic careers. This residency will enable development of practice, collaboration, and creative conversations. You will be joining an active community of 14 other artists working in neighbouring studios around the vibrant park area. There will be opportunities for mentorship from the professional resident artists as well as the Visual Arts Manager at Gasworks. Depending on the nature of any completed projects, the artist may be invited to exhibit in a group exhibition at Gasworks in 2024.
