Contemporary Sculpture in a Historic Setting
The Wollombi Valley Sculpture Festival offers an immersive experience where the valley itself
becomes the gallery. Â Held every two years, the festival transforms historic Wollombi Village and beautiful valley into a dynamic showcase for contemporary sculpture for leading, established and emerging artists.
The festival is delighted to have Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of NSW, as its Patron. Each festival features the prestigious Governor’s Prize, with the winning sculpture exhibited at Government House for 12 months—an honour that reflects the festival’s commitment to artistic excellence and public engagement.
The Wollombi Valley Sculpture Festival acknowledges First Nations peoples and recognises their continuous connection to culture, community and Country. Our partnership with Wollombi Valley Arts Council and Little Yengo Gallery aims to encourage individual or group applications from First Nations artists in all prize categories.
