Queensland Museum Network (QMN) invites expressions of interest (EOI) to participate in Curiocity Brisbane 2023.
Curiocity Brisbane is an annual temporary public art event, part of World Science Festival Brisbane (WSFB) presented by QMN.
EOIs are now open calling on artists to submit an idea for artworks that celebrate the interconnectivity of art and science. Base funding will be available for selected artworks.
Artworks will be open 8am to 8pm daily in public spaces in Brisbane from 22 March – 2 April 2023.
QMN is seeking a diverse array of artworks varying in scale, budget and type of public engagement strategy from participatory and reflective to interactive and large scale. All media are welcome. The artwork may take form as augmented reality, sound work, kinetic artforms, video, installation to free standing sculpture. Artworks may include multiple components.
Artists can express interest with either a new commissioned artwork or an existing artwork that has not been exhibited in Queensland before.
