Public Art

The Level Crossing Removal Project and T Projects are seeking Expressions of Interest from screen based artists to develop a public artwork for Lilydale Station, Melbourne.

Artists should supply the following information, via the application form, to be considered for this commission

  • A statement outlining your artistic practice and why this project is of interest to you
  • ​A short biography and CV, including two references preferably from a previous client, commissioner, or curator, related to a previous public art commission, (maximum 3 pages), including details of experience delivering projects of a similar scale, budget, and technical complexity
  • Up to ten (10) images of your relevant previous work, and/or links to websites showcasing your work

Project dates

– EOI submission period – 13th September 2021 – 8th October 2021​

– Longlist assessment – 11th October – 15th October 2021

– Steering Committee Meeting; 4 shortlisted artists selected –  15th – October 2021

– Shortlisted artists briefed – Week commencing 1st November 2021

– Concept development period – From 8th November 2021 – 10th December 2021

– Artist’s concepts presentations – Week commencing 17th January 2022
