Call for nominations!

APRA AMCOS and the Australian Guild of Screen Composers (AGSC) invite all APRA AMCOS members to nominate for the 2022 Screen Music Awards. The awards focus on music in film and television across 12 categories including short film, documentary, mini-series, children’s programming and feature film.

Nominations are open to any songwriter or composer that has had their work featured in a production which received its first public screening, broadcast or release during 1 July 2021 – 30 June 2022. This includes first releases on YouTube, Facebook, Netflix, or any other streaming platform.

For Feature Film Score of the Year, the eligibility period is 1 July 2021 – 30 September 2022 – the production must have its first public screening, broadcast or commercial release within this timeframe.

Many emerging and established songwriters and composers have picked up wins in previous years, including Joff Bush, Fred Leone, Oscar Joe Gross, Angela Little, Piers Burbrook de Vere and Sean Tinnion.

Submissions close Thursday 21 July, 5pm AEST.

You can nominate online now across 12 different categories. Please note that the nominated work must have at least a 50% composer interest by an APRA Composer Member.
