The Paddington Art Prize is a $30,000 National Acquisitive Prize, now in its 21st year for a painting inspired by the Australian Landscape; Principally Sponsored by Chris Antico, Founded/Co-Sponsored by Marlene Antico OAM.

With an additional 10 Non-Acquisitive Awards: 

$3000 Honorable Mention Award – Sponsored by Marlene Antico OAM

$1000 Highly Commended Award – Sponsored by Julia Martin (Artist/Curator)

Cooee Art Leven Gallery Award – A 2025 solo exhibition at Cooee Art Leven Gallery, Redfern for two artists from the list of Finalists with different yet complimentary approaches to Landscape painting. The artists will also receive $2500 each toward the creation of their exhibition, sponsored by Gallery Director Mirri Leven.

Anthea Polson Gallery Award – A 2025/2026 solo exhibition at Anthea Polson Gallery, Gold Coast for two unrepresented artists who are selected as Finalists.

James Makin Gallery Award – A 2025/2026 solo exhibition at the James Makin Gallery, Melbourne for an artist that is not represented in the State of Victoria and who is contractually able to exhibit outside their represented galleries (should they have one), selected from the 2024 Finalists by Director James Makin

Becker Minty Gallery Award – A 2025 solo exhibition at Becker Minty, Hobart for an artist that is not represented in the State of Tasmania and is contractually able to exhibit outside their representating galleries (should they have one), selected from the Finalists by Director Jason Minty.

AL Stretchers Award – $2000 worth of Aluminium Stretchers sponsored by Alesandro Ljubcic

Eramboo Residency/Gallery Award – A 2025 two week live in residency at Eramboo Artist Environment, North Sydney for a selected Finalist, followed by the opportunity to hold a ten day self-managed 2025/2026 exhibition of their residency inspired artworks at Eramboo Gallery, North Sydney. Additionally the selected artist will be given $500 cash towards their exhibition. Awarded by Paddington Art Prize Principal Sponsor Chris Antico 

Rathenart Printing Award – A $1000 Rathenart Printing/Scanning Voucher for a 2024 Finalist sponsored by Rebecca Anne Brady. 

People’s Choice Award – A $1000 gift certificate from Theresa Sarjeant of Fine Art Imaging for the Finalist with the most votes from visitors to the exhibition of National Finalists at Cooee Art Leven Gallery.
