Entries are now open for the 2022 John Leslie Art Prize for landscape painting.

Open to any artist living and working in Australia, the biennial $20,000 Acquisitive John Leslie Art Prize is open to entries for paintings created after 1 March 2020 that explore the subject of landscape.

Inaugurated in 2000, the Prize is named after Mr John Leslie OBE (1919—2016), patron of the Gippsland Art Gallery. The continuation of the Prize is made possible by the generous ongoing support of the John Leslie Foundation, and 2022 marks its 12th iteration.

A $1,000 Non-Acquisitive Prize will also be awarded for the ‘Best Gippsland Work.’
