Victoria will commence lockdown number six – less than a fortnight since the previous one ended.

The renewed restrictions come into affect 8pm today (5 August), barring final performances and closing down exhibitions. This follows rolling lockdowns that have hit the arts sector hard, including the cancellation of several events at the RISING festival which only just announced the extension of Patricia Piccinini’s Flinders Ballroom exhibition A Miracle Constantly Repeated to January 2022.
