Ghana Vice President Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur has launched a bookshop and art gallery featuring works by Dr Kwame Nkrumah, the first President of Ghana who oversaw the nation’s independence from British colonial rule in 1957.

Amissah-Arthur announced that the bookshop would help provide the necessary information on Nkrumah’s legacy, noting that great lengths have been taken to retrieve the former leader’s works and documents despite the fact that many of them were burnt following his overthrow.
