Regional Arts Australia wants to carry your message to Canberra

During June and July of 2009 Regional Arts Australia (RAA) consulted widely across the nation to identify priorities for advancing regional arts in this country. That time is here again and Tasmanian regional artists, arts organisations and those with allied interests like councils and health service providers are invited to have their say in any of the number of ways those consultations will be held.

In 2009 more than 85,000 people were represented in the consultations. Around 750 of them from 780 organisations were part of the 25 meetings with community members and civic leaders that RAA convened in 18 locations across regional Australia. More came from nine meetings RAA called with 80 allied peak bodies, government and stakeholder organisations in capital cities from all states and the Northern Territory. Another 3,188 people representing 875 organisations directly completed an online survey.
