Sydney Philharmonia Choirs farewells GM, Powerhouse Museum appoints Chief Operating Officer, Theatre Royal announces CEO and more.

The Board of Sydney Philharmonia Choirs has announced that General Manager Hannah Mason will leave the organisation in October 2021. She leaves to take up a role with the Sydney Opera House Trust as Project Lead for its upcoming 50th-anniversary celebrations in 2023.

Mason has been General Manager of Sydney Philharmonia Choirs for six years, since November 2015. She joined the Choirs in 2009 as an Alto in the Symphony Chorus and served on the Board from 2011. Mason stepped down from Symphony Chorus and the Board in 2015 when she took on the executive role. This experience gave her a special and abiding affinity with the choristers and her chief collaborator, Artistic & Music Director Brett Weymark OAM.
