The Australian Ballet’s Executive Director to step down, QSO announces new Chief Conductor, and more.

After nearly ten years as Executive Director of The Australian Ballet, Libby Christie will be stepping down from her role at the end of 2022.

‘Libby has made an outstanding and enduring contribution to The Australian Ballet, leading the company through a period of significant change with great professionalism, energy, and resolve. She has provided real strength in leadership during some very challenging times more recently and has laid the foundations for a very exciting and successful future,’ said Craig Dunn, Chair of The Australian Ballet Board.

Richard Watts is ArtsHub's National Performing Arts Editor; he also presents the weekly program SmartArts on Three Triple R FM, and serves as the Chair of La Mama Theatre's volunteer Committee of Management.
