Perth Symphony Orchestra appoints new CEO, new Board member joins Biennale of Sydney, and more.

The Perth Symphony Orchestra (PSO), founded and led by Bourby Webster, has announced arts leader Catherine Henwood as its new CEO.

The announcement coincides with the orchestra celebrating its 10th anniversary. Though Webster will be stepping aside as CEO, she will remain firmly involved with the company.

‘Every single goal, dream, aspiration I had for the orchestra has been smashed in the 10-year time frame I set myself to bring Perth Symphony to life. Together with a team of incredible staff, musicians, sponsors, donors, suppliers and board members, we’ve created a major arts company in WA that has reached thousands of people in hundreds of communities, all the while showcasing the incredible musicians we have in WA. I am incredibly proud of how far we’ve come,’ Webster said.
