On the move: latest arts sector appointments

The Northern Territory Writers’ Centre (NTWC) has appointed Louise Omer as its new Festival Artistic Director. In her new role, Omer will lead the programming of the 2025 NT Writers Festival in Mparntwe/Alice Springs.

Executive Director, SezzaJai Sykes said, ‘The NTWC is excited to welcome Louise, as she brings experience in working across large festivals, contemporary knowledge of the literary scene and excellent community networks across Mparntwe.’

Richard Watts OAM is ArtsHub's National Performing Arts Editor; he also presents the weekly program SmartArts on Three Triple R FM. Richard is a life member of the Melbourne Queer Film Festival, a Melbourne Fringe Festival Living Legend, and was awarded the Sidney Myer Performing Arts Awards' Facilitator's Prize in 2020.
