New youth orchestra founded in Western Sydney

A new youth orchestra recently launched in Western Sydney is the first step in establishing a professional orchestra for the region.

Long term plans to establish the Western Sydney Philharmonic (aka West Phil) have begun with the recent launch of the West Phil’s youth orchestra.

‘This year we’re launching the youth orchestra with two big projects, intensive projects through the year, and in the future there’ll be other faces of the West Phil that will emerge,’ explained Artistic Director and co-founder Kristian Winther.
