If you’re an emerging writer like me, one of those people trying on tippee toes to see over the great ‘published author’ wall into the mystical world beyond, an invite to the MWF Party seems like a free pass to Utopia. Day Two had been a roaring success if the crowds were anything to go by and there was good reason to celebrate.

Still, the truth is that for all the people ‘that matter’ parties like these are more work than play, and they’re working hard with the other people that are there working.
