NSW: Minister for the Arts Don Harwin announced $11.9 million of new funding for a new underground auditorium, gallery and expanded bookshop, café and foyer as part of ongoing enhancements to the State Library of NSW. Harwin said the upgrades would enhance visitor access and experience at the beloved cultural institution, and bringing the total to more than $24 million invested this year. The new underground gallery is set to open in mid-2022.
VIC: Castlemaine Art Museum received $267,750 in funding to support the development of two major exhibitions and a projection-art program over a two-year period, as part of RISE.
