After receiving a $10 million grant from the Hong-Kong based Robert H. N. Ho Family Foundation, the Guggenheim Museum has announced its plans to commission works from Chinese artists to be exhibited at the New York museum’s permanent collection from 2014 to 2017.
‘This is all part of our global narrative,’ director of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation Richard Armstrong told The New York Times. ‘For years people have asked what we are doing about China. This is a crucial next step.’
