‘Global harm’ from Australia Council Budget cuts

International submissions to the Senate Inquiry say the Government's actions could damage not only Australia but also international cultural development.

With one week remaining, the Senate Inquiry into the Impact of Budget decisions on the Arts has so far received 77 submissions, most from individuals and some from Australian arts organisations.

But perhaps the most striking to date are from US-based arts managers who say the loss to the Australia Council could be a loss to them too.
