Entries open for New Art Awards 2012

Online social news platform, the Temporary Gallery, has opened entries for its New Art Awards in 2012

The aim of the New Art Awards is to recognise and promote the work of visual and performing artists. Entries will be accepted from all over the world, and can be great exposure for artists looking to showcase their work or project.

All work will be published in the Temporary Gallery’s media channels, which include Google, Facebook, Twitter, Newsletter, Advertising and iPhone app.

The 2012 categories are as follows:

Paintings and Drawings
Photography
Music
Literature
Digital Art
Performance
Film and Animation
Sculpture

Each category will award one public winner and one jury winner. There will also be an overall award winner who will win a prize of $2,500.

2012 Judges include Mark Bergin (A Thinking Company), Stephen Haley (VCA) and social media platform Art Bitch.
