A $1.5 million Cultural Places pilot program will see a huge boost to the local arts and cultural scene in Rockhampton.

The pilot program, funded in part by the Australian Government alongside the Queensland State Government and Rockhampton Regional Council will develop local arts and cultural industries.

On top of this, communities affected by the recent Queensland floods will see the arts play a key role in their recovery through a $376,000 creative recovery project to run in Ipswich, the Cassowary Coast and Lockyer Valley.
