British author Hilary Mantel wins Costa literary award

British writer and two-time Booker Prize winner Hilary Mantel has been named novelist of the year at Britain’s Costa Book Awards for Bring Up the Bodies. Mantel’s achievement, announced on Wednesday makes her the first author to win both the Costa Book Award for Best Novel and the Booker Prize in the same year. Mantel was also named 2012 UK Author of the Year by the National Book Award.
