This year arts and social change innovators Big hART celebrates its 21st birthday. On the back of recent award wins for one of their current projects, the Namatjira Project, the people at Big hArt have a lot to celebrate. The project’s double wins of the prestigious Helpmann Award for producing the touring show Namatjira and an ArtsHub award for their contribution to the Australian community exemplify the broad scope of the work Big hART does. The not-for-profit organisation creates long term projects that work within communities experiencing marginalisation, engages world class artists, and brings them together in collaboration to create art of public and critical acclaim.
