Australian artists demand TV coverage

Arts news on TV would mean a major boost to the industry and emphasise on the importance of the arts just when we need it.

It is about time that the arts sector gets the visibility it deserves, argue artists Nina Sanadze, Tai Snaith, and Mia Salsjö. The trio have just launched the ARTS are NEWSworthy petition, which calls for a more permanent place for arts news segments on TV, particularly on channels such as the ABC and SBS.

The petition is gaining traction, with 5,403 signatures added at the time of writing (nearing closer to the organisers’ overall 7,500 goal).
