A New York family scored big after they decided to purchase a Chinese bowl at a garage sale for no more than $3. After unknowingly keeping the 1000-year-old bowl in their living room, the family was shocked to discover just how much the bowl was really worth until they consulted experts.
Sotheby’s informed them that the bowl would probably sell for approximately $200,000-$300,000 at auction. Much to everyone’s surprise, the bowl ultimately sold for an impressive $2.2 million at a New York City auction.
