Applause: Latest funding and awards announced

Shortlisted artists revealed for Photo 2020 x Perimeter International Photobook Prize, additional $2m added to Contemporary Music Touring Program, plus more funding and awards news.

The PHOTO 2020 x Perimeter International Photobook Prize has named the 18 shortlisted projects for its inaugural 2020 prize, which will present innovative and exciting photographers addressing a range of issues and concepts of global interest.

Attracting over 125 submissions, the prize celebrates the advancing role of photobooks as an art form by identifying, publishing and distributing new photographic projects.

The judging panel for the Prize included leaders in the fields of contemporary photography and publishing: Justine Ellis, Co-Director, Perimeter; Michael Mack, Publisher, MACK; Emma Phillips, Artist; Elias Redstone, Artistic Director, PHOTO 2020; and Dan Rule, Co-Director, Perimeter.
