Launched this week, the 50th annual Cairns Festival will celebrate ’50 Years Under a Tropical Sun’ through 100 events to take place over 17 days throughout the Cairns region.

The program comprises a blend of free and ticketed events spanning art, music, culture and comedy.

Beginning on the 19 August, this year’s anniversary Festival will kick-off with the Cairns Indigenous Art Fair – a unique event that merges an art market with a celebration of Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.
