Cultural economy increasingly privatised

Consumers and governments are spending less on the arts but the private sector is going some way to making up the shortfall, Australia Council reveals.

While Arts Nation 2015 had excellent news for the arts sector on tourism and on Australians' increasing appreciation of the value of the arts, the news on the ever-important question of the cultural economy is more mixed.
