Ensuring women’s safety and security in live music venues, and at nightclubs and music festivals, will be the priority of a new Government taskforce appointed by Victoria’s Minister for Justice, Jane Garrett.

The appointment of the taskforce comes after a recent meeting of the Victorian Live Music Roundtable, which heard from members of the LISTEN collective (a group dedicated to a healthier live music scene) and Save Live Australia’s Music (SLAM) about the disturbing frequency of such harassment.
