Fears that the Minister’s failure to reappoint the Australia Council chair by the end of the financial year would mean a coup at the top have proved unfounded.

Minister for the Arts Senator Brandis is away at the moment but Acting Minister for the Arts Warren Truss has just announced the reappointment of Rupert Myer as Chair of the Australia Council Board.
