NSW artists to receive $250,000 in commissions for metro project

Create NSW has issued a callout for 10 artists with $250,000 up for grabs to design glass panels for Sydney’s Southwest metro stations.

This announcement couldn’t have been more perfectly timed, as artists start to financially buckle under COVID-19.

Create NSW, in partnership with Sydney Metro, have announced they are putting $250,000 toward 10 new commissions, and are calling for Expressions of Interest by NSW artists.

The project is to design new public artworks that will greet passengers when the 10 stations on the T3 Bankstown Line from Marrickville to Bankstown are upgraded to metro standards as part of Sydney Metro City & Southwest.
