$20m makeover for Melbourne’s Capitol Theatre

RMIT and the Andrews Government have announced refurbishment plans for the iconic, 93-year-old theatre.

Designed by Walter Burley Griffin and Marion Mahony Griffin, Melbourne’s iconic Capitol Theatre is set to undergo a much-needed transformation.

Fundraising for the theatre’s renovation includes a crowd-funding campaign, and has set a target of $20 million.
