QLD budget provides additional $43.1 million for the arts

Indigenous and regional arts will receive a significant boost, as will existing state owned assets through a new Arts Infrastructure Investment Fund.

Queensland’s arts community is celebrating following Tuesday’s state budget announcement of an additional $43.1 million for the sector over the next four years.

The funding includes a major investment in Indigenous and regional arts, and the creation of a new Arts Infrastructure Investment Fund, as well as ongoing investment in existing organisations such as QAGOMA and QPAC.
