The 25th Jill Freeman City of Hobart Art Prize, worth $30,000, has been awarded as the city prepares to launch its new creative strategy.

Anthony Johnson, a recent Masters graduate, took home the award for his galvanised steel shelving units, Stutter 2013. The artist was selected from a record 490 entries, which were whittled down to 34 finalists – all of which are now on display at the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery.
