Music course helps redefine aims for Afghan musician

A Melbourne-based musician is keeping the tunes of his native culture alive, with a Western twist.

Khan is inspired by both traditional Hazara music and modern Western styles.

Taqi Khan is a musician with plans to combine both traditional Hazara music and contemporary Western influences to create a new sound.

He wishes to extend the strong following he has established in his home country of Afghanistan into the Australian musical landscape.
