Australia’s copyright wars are set to hot up again with APRA’s $160 million monopoly under the spotlight of the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.

The past couple of years have seen the vicious legal battles over music royalties in venues such as nightclubs and gyms die down, after the conclusion of some long-running copyright cases in the Federal Court. Now it looks like hostilities could be resuming.
