Less than a week out from the Victorian state election, and The Basics Rock’n’Roll Party (BRRP) are among artists including Tex Perkins who have registered for party status to give a much needed voice to the arts and culture sector.

Formed with Wally De Backer – aka Gotye – and Tim Heath, the trio have been campaigning since September under the guise of their band The Basics.
