What’s the latest craze to take Australian stages? Audience immersion? Experimentation? It’s got to be something novel right? Something the world has never seen. Well according to arts veteran Leo Schofield, the latest rage certainly isn’t new, in fact it’s around 400 years old –  Baroque music.

‘There’s a worldwide frenzy about Baroque right now,’ he tells us. ‘At least ten cities in Germany have Baroque festivals. There’s the Arolser Barock-Festspiele, Concerto Köln, in France operas are performed in Aix-en-Provence Festival, you hear so much of it being played now.’
