The City of Joondalup is a region that covers an area of 97km square from beach to bushland. The City Centre has a relaxed, casual atmosphere and is a combination of cultural, civic, commercial and residential properties built on the edge of the stunning Lake Joondalup.
Residents and visitors enjoy the cosmopolitan feel and excellent selection of restaurants and cafes around the City Centre. There are many beaches and parks to explore. Our beautiful City has always attracted international guests and immigrants with over 50 per cent of our population born overseas. The Joondalup City Centre is located 25 minutes north of Perth along the Mitchell Freeway. There are frequent trains from the Perth Underground Station to the City Centre and surrounding suburbs.
The finale of the City of Joondalup's summer season, the Festival is the region's largest and most significant cultural event.

A series of three free outdoor concerts held over summer, for the whole family to enjoy.
Sunday Serenades Concert Series fine music in the City of Joondalup Civic Chambers, held on the third Sunday of every month, from May to December.
Little Feet Festival
Free hands-on fun and excitment for children under twelve and their families. Community performers are encouraged to take part in the region's premier children's event.
Opportunities exist for up-and-coming performers to participate in the fun and excitment of the Joondalup Festival Community Stage. Schools and community groups can also take part in the iconic
Festival Street Parade.
