Royal Talbot Rehabilitation Centre is part of Austin Health, one of Victoria’s largest health care providers also comprising the Austin Hospital and Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital, Hospital in the Home and community based health services; Austin Health is an internationally recognised leader in clinical teaching, training and research, with numerous university and research institute affiliations.
RTRC provides a comprehensive and coordinated range of services to clients with a wide range of needs. These include programs for people with spinal cord injury, acquired brain injury, orthopaedic, amputation, neurological conditions and multi-trauma.
Community Integration and Leisure Services (CI&LS) is based at the Royal Talbot Rehabilitation Centre (RTRC) providing services to rehabilitation clients of RTRC across all clinical areas, including inpatients and outpatients. As part of our suite of programs we have supported an Art Group since 1998 introducing /reintroducing patients to the joy of art and being creative. We often exhibit patient art and are proud of the tradition of helping people discover identities as artists.
