Marketing and Communications Manager
ABOUT US MAC Inc is the leading arts and culture provider in the eastern metropolitan region of Perth. We deliver diverse arts education and cultural programs via two venues: Mundaring and Midland Junction Arts Centres. Each year, our artistic program includes curated exhibitions, performances, workshops, artist talks and artist residencies. We also offer venue hire, events, and collaborate on community development projects.

THE ROLE We are seeking a proactive, creative thinker who is passionate about the arts, audience development and the activation of cultural spaces. The ideal candidate will be a keen collaborator and a highly motivated professional in their field.
The Marketing and Communications Manager will oversee all aspects of MAC Inc.’s marketing and communications, in alignment with the organisation’s strategic objectives and the MAC Inc. brand.
You will be responsible for the development, execution and evaluation of marketing and communications activities to grow and diversify audiences and drive revenue. This includes marketing campaigns, digital marketing, surveys, statistical analysis, advertising, publicity, and content creation.
This is a 12-month contract with a view to extend and/or offer a permanent contract as the organisation enters a new season of impact, building on its strong foundation.

SELECTION CRITERIA
1. Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience
2. Extensive experience in a marketing, communications, journalism, or public relations role
3. Interest and knowledge of contemporary arts, local artists, organisations and networks
4. Demonstrated success in development and execution of marketing campaigns that reflect brand nuances and key messaging
5. Excellent written communication skills with proven ability to write media releases and create engaging content across a range of platforms for Australian arts audiences
6. Commercial acumen: ability to execute decisions and apply knowledge in a practical manner for positive commercial / economic outcomes
7. Time Management & Organisation: superior ability to prioritise tasks and resources to accomplish objectives within given timeframe
8. Stakeholder Management: excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrated experience in relationship management and networking; committed to providing exceptional customer service across all channels – written, phone and face to face
9. Communication: the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, varying communication style depending upon the audience
10. Teamwork: willingness to assist and support others as required and to get on well with team members
11. Administration: proficient administrative and computer skills, including MS Office 365 – experience using electronic booking systems, POS Shopify; CRM’s, Adobe Photoshop and InDesign desired
12. Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
13. Current Clean “C” Class Driver’s License
14. Working with Children Card and National Police Clearance
15. Flexible approach to working hours, including the capacity to work evenings and weekends
