Gallery Stockroom Coordinator

This position is a full-time, on-going role subject to an initial three-month probationary period.

Role

The role of Gallery Stockroom Coordinator will include but not be limited to the following:

Stockroom Coordinator

• Overseeing and general maintenance of Gallery stockroom
• Maintaining and updating the Gallery’s inventory.
• General handling and care of art objects.
• Managing the receiving, hanging and installation of artworks for gallery exhibitions.
• Managing the de-installation, packing, and labelling of artworks at close of gallery exhibitions
• Arranging packing and transportation of artworks to and from the gallery, both nationally and internationally.
• Delivery and installation of artworks across the Sydney metropolitan area, including occasional deliveries in regional areas
• Communication with artists, clients, freight agents and art handlers as required
• Remediation and painting of walls and plinths at the conclusion of exhibitions
• Registration and installation duties across national and international art fairs
• Facilitating the loan of artworks to institutions for exhibitions
• Assisting in the delivery, installation and trouble-shooting of multi-channel digital artworks
• General maintenance and tidying within the Gallery
• Bar preparation and drinks service at monthly gallery openings.
• Assisting on the Gallery floor when required
• General administrative tasks
