The Photography Fellowship is a unique opportunity for an artist to conduct innovative research in response to State Library Victoria's photography collection, and to present the outcome at PHOTO 2020 International Festival of Photography.
In response to the PHOTO 2020 theme, the research should seek to investigate the relationship between photography and truth.
The State Library's photography collection features historic and contemporary photography including work by renowned Australian photographers including Wolfgang Sievers, Mark Strizic, Maggie Diaz, Rennie Ellis, Polixeni Papapetrou and Sue Ford.
The Photography Fellowship is presented in association with PHOTO 2020.
The fellowship carries a grant of $15,000 and is for a period of three months full time, or longer if undertaken in a part-time capacity.
Applications for the 2019–20 fellowship are now open. Fellowship applications must be received by midnight on Sunday 28 April 2019.
If you have specific questions about the Photography Fellowship requirements or selection process, contact Gail Schmidt at firstname.lastname@example.org or on 03 8664 7335.
